I’m an advocate by training. Right now, I help lawyers impact their clients with expert practical know-how. Usually, I love to demonstrate my thinking and explain concepts in detail. But here, I’m just going to give you a quick 6 things about me:1) I’m an efficiency junkie. Everything I do involves a process. My work. My meals. My clothes. Everything. People don’t build big things, systems do. 2) I got my job in a weird way. I didn’t know legal editorial was even a thing, but got a call from a recruiter after a year of searching. Went from contractor, to supporting multiple product teams, to a senior associate position in 2 years. 3) I’ve created, maintained, edited, and white-papered content that’s been used by thousands of lawyers while representing their clients, like Skadden, DLA Piper, and Kirkland & Ellis to name a few. Topics include intellectual property, technology, media & entertainment, corporate M&A, and bankruptcy & restructuring. 4) With client representation, I feel most authentic when I’m speaking with the client. Clear and transparent communication is the backbone of any relationship. I appreciate every chance to practice that.5) I was briefly an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor. I thought this was my dream until I tried it and didn’t like it. But, I learned more from that failure than any class I’ve taken. 6) I’m a bodybuilder. For me, fitness is the gateway to success. I’ve lost 80+ pounds since I started my journey, and I use things I learned in that process in every aspect of my life.
