Initiated and leading emerging market souring initiative for Measurement products (Business Unit) of ABB Process Automation Division. Handling global sourcing, implementation and material management for Indian Suppliers. Successfully handled NPI for 2 new designs of Flow-meters, design ownership and R&D activities situated in Germany and Italy. Successfully reduced BOM cost of EMF type Flow meters by 35% and increased emerging market content in BOM (Bill of material) from 20% to 90%. All PCBAs (High level Assemblies) and Body of flow meter (Mechanical assembly) are now sourced out of India. Increased spend from India from 0 to 10 M USD for Measurement products Business Units within a year. Number of Projects Handled: 9; Award in India: 10 M USD; Cost out and Savings - ~ 3 M USD.

Established Supply chain department for Green Field venture as corporate SCM Manager. Reporting to VP (Operations) and managing SCM teams of 3 different JV companies via indirect reporting structure. Developed capable vendor base for the requirement of highly complex and sophisticated equipment and services in the field of Defense and Homeland Security Business. Managed project activities from supply chain perspective during bidding and execution stage. Effective management of international and local logistics to ensure timely delivery of material at project sites.  Establishing rate contracts with OEMS and contractors for IT Hardware (servers, storage arrays, workstations, desktops KVM switches, UPS solutions etc), communication switches, routers, modems, communication equipments (Radio Communication, Satellite communication, HF and VHF), different types of Radar and Sonar systems Ensured cost effective sourcing of Command and control software, integrated solutions for security systems and related services in the field of CCTV System, Intrusion Detection System, Perimeter Protection Solution, Access Control Solutions, Gate Automation like sliding gate mechanism, Boom Barriers, Anti terror barriers, Vapor detectors for explosive and narcotics, Door frame metal detectors, Hand held metal detectors.  Identified sources for industrial and military grade equipments for defense projects.  Contract reviews, risk/liability assessment, pricing due diligence analyses in support of key customers. Coordinate contract submittals/reviews by Audit Staff to ensure compliance with corporate policies/procedures. Supported Bids and proposal teams for almost 25+ very reputed projects of Indian defense including IUHDSS, MRSHAM of the worth of 2+ B USD. Contract awarded successfully for around 12 Projects including MRSHAM of approximate worth of 500 M+ USD.

Reporting to Manager - sourcing and managing of team of 2 professionals. Managed the sourcing process in a matrix team environment to support functional stakeholders for GEHC Business in India for Electronics and Electromechanical Purchase families. Responsible for an annual spend of USD 20M with a saving target of USD 1.5M for designated purchase family (Printed Wire assemblies, Box build, contract manufacturing, Electronic Components and other bought out parts). Coordination and correspondence with cross functional team viz.
