CurrentJob Scope :MAINTENANCE & PERFORMANCE OF MACHINERY• Identifying critical machinery and ensuring its operational readiness through PMS.• Ensuring that fire fighting & life saving equipment are always in good working order.• Maintenance on Deck and Cargo equipment, Diesel Engine & generator, Oily water separators, Incinerator, Water & Sewage treatment systems, pumps, Air-conditioning and refrigeration plants.• Continuously monitor and evaluate machinery performance and ensure… Show more Job Scope :MAINTENANCE & PERFORMANCE OF MACHINERY• Identifying critical machinery and ensuring its operational readiness through PMS.• Ensuring that fire fighting & life saving equipment are always in good working order.• Maintenance on Deck and Cargo equipment, Diesel Engine & generator, Oily water separators, Incinerator, Water & Sewage treatment systems, pumps, Air-conditioning and refrigeration plants.• Continuously monitor and evaluate machinery performance and ensure optimum performance by effectively application of planned maintenance system programme as per manufacturer’s guidelines.• Advising any major repairs requiring shore assistance.• Ensuring ship and its equipment are maintained in compliance with flag state and class regulations.Environmental Aspect1. Responsible for keeping records pertaining to Vessel’s fuel consumption and evaluate carbon and SOx emissions using company provided tools and prepare plans to bring down Vessel’s carbon footprint. 2. Designated ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL OFFICER (ECO) and responsible for Implementing all International and Local Regulations along with Environmental Management System regarding the protection of the environment .3. Training all Engineers, Officers and crew regarding Company’s EMS.HR ACTIVITIES• Reporting competency, conduct, ability and potential of staff .• Discipline, efficiency and welfare of Engine room staff• Guiding Engineers and Electrical Officers to learn and use the PM System relevant to their part of the jobs.• Issuing specific standing orders including night orders for Engine room watch keeping procedures.• Training routines for the trainee engineers.DOCUMENT CONTROL AND REPORTING • Upkeep of all manuals, drawings, logbooks, inventories, defect lists/ indents and correspondence of department.• Ensuring timely periodic reporting of machinery performance, records of maintenance, survey status, machinery spares / stores stock, requisition, etc. as defined by Company standards.
