Treasury - Balance Sheet ManagementI started a new treasury unit in Mumbai. Here, I completely managed transfer of work to support Asia and EMEA region, hiring and floor set up processes.Currently, I manage a multiyear project with my team to centralise and standardise fund transfer pricing across Citi. With presence across geographies and legal entities, this requires extensive interaction with country heads and unit stakeholders. This involves convincing the need for this change, negotiating a way forward that meets everyone’s expectations, to deliver on the overall bank goal. Key achievement: I led the transition to a new treasury management system across all international hubs (~30 countries), completing the project on time and within budget. Coordinated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Fostered strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that their needs were met throughout the transition process. Conducted training sessions for teams to enhance understanding and utilization of the new system, leading to improved user adoption rates.Besides Mumbai, I have established a team in Manila to support the new transfer pricing process. [Purpose - Fund Transfer pricing is used by banks to measure the contribution of different business units to the bank's profitability. It determines the cost at which funds are internally transferred between these units, enabling a more precise calculation of their respective profit margins]

Treasury - Interest rate risk in banking book (IRRBB)Collaborate with global work streams to improve the quality of inputs used for model validation that influence interest rate risk metrics. Set up internal models as per country specific dynamics and price sensitivity for key metrics: income (IRE) and valuation (EVE) and present business analysis to country heads. Prepare ALCO decks, monitor limits and conduct quarterly attestation of interest rate risk numbers. [Purpose -Interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) is used by banks to measure the current or prospective risk to the bank’s capital and earnings arising from adverse movements in interest rates that affect the bank’s banking book positions.]

Responsibility included regulatory return submissions such as Risk based supervision, Basel liquidity reporting and implement recent regulatory changes for treasury segment. Main project was to set up intraday liquidity process.
