I am the General Counsel of the Foundation for Affordable Housing. For more than thirty years, the mission of the Foundation family of nonprofits has been to improve communities throughout the country by helping build affordable housing for low-income individuals and families, persons with special needs and seniors. The Foundation now helps provide more than 60,000 people with safe and affordable housing and, through a growing resident services division, enriches many of the communities that it participates in.Prior to joining the Foundation, I was in private practice for 18 years, representing a variety of clients in commercial real estate transactions (including acquisitions, dispositions, real estate-secured financing and commercial leasing transactions).
