Roles include monitor well installation and sampling, sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water and sediment, recovery of phase-separated hydrocarbons (PSH), evaluation for naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) and providing assistance for several emergency response projects associated with releases at oil and gas (O&G) sites. As well as report preparation, data tabulation, completion of contaminant concentration maps, gradient maps, boring logs and cross sections and coordination of field activities.

Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports.

Langley Research Center, Virgina

Team member of Western U.S Water Resource project II. Improved the usability of code written in R to understand the observed impact of climate change in vegetation within national parks. Worked with a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment to produce end user deliverables for project partners, National Park Service and USGS. Deliverables included technical paper, video, poster, and presentation.

Aragon, Spain

Worked with students in the Pyrenees Mountains in Spain, teaching basic field techniques such as using a Brunton compass, data collection and recording techniques, stratigraphic logging, and basic geologic mapping and interpretation.

Funded by the National Park Service; produced four geologic maps of the Vicksburg National Military Park. Maps to be published by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.
