BKI is doing some fantastic work in building a new strategy and roadmap to support and deliver the next generation of education solutions for TAFE. The plans today will provide the foundations for BKI to deliver education to future students that may only be 5 or 6 years old right now. This strategy is thinking about how to implement the right supporting infrastructure, technology and course delivery plans to support future learning trends.I’m happy to be a part of it!

Following the sale of CSG’s technology solutions business in 2012, I took on a start-up leadership role focusing on the creation of a new managed IT services strategy with a cloud first delivery model. Identifying a gap in the market supporting the technology needs of SMBs, I built a strategic vision and capability from the ground up to plan, build and run a portfolio of disruptive cloud delivered service offerings. A key aspect of this venture was building partnerships with market-leading vendors, enabling CSG to gain access to existing brands, retail networks and customer profiles. As a member of the executive leadership team, I also contribute to CSG Group strategy and business planning. • Pioneered and executed the vision for a business line that has transformed IT services, growing to a 20% contribution of overall revenue for CSG, and continuing to grow at 40-50% growth p.a.;• Built presence in the mid-market by introducing bundled technology subscription services including first-to-market offerings; • Built CSG Cloud Marketplace system which offered customers to manage employee on-boarding, procurement of IT services as a subscription and connected to HP Virtual Private cloud infrastructure as a service.• Designed new, zero footprint and zero touch managed service combining end user hardware, Microsoft Office365 suite and Australia’s first fully delivered cloud telephony solution to market under a single subscription per user model• Partnered with Officeworks to develop a white label bundle offering an end-to-end solution for SMBs; • Media spokesperson, technology evangelist and regular contributor to industry forums and publications.

Forming part of NEC’s new executive leadership team following the acquisition of CSG’s technology solutions business, I defined an ICT infrastructure and roadmap with a focus on delivering better services, improved ICT processes and reduced operational costs. After leading the consolidation of multiple divisions, I drove innovation across customer facing ICT solutions, introducing a product development and launch framework that identified market competitive investments. Supporting the commercialisation of new ideas and services, I managed the national architecture deals team in addition to all strategic vendor relationships.• Program sponsor and lead of the successful accreditation of NEC’s ISO27001 certification of Managed Services, operations and communications divisions• Lead Architect and Solution Strategist for IT Managed Services contracts which grew from $300M to $800M TCV and contributed in improvements to bid contract win rate to 80%• Enterprise Architecture program lead developing the official Five Pillar Technology strategy;• Became the #1 official spokesperson for NEC Australia, conducting more than 80 media interviews per year, keynote presentations at major IT conferences• Achieved budget savings of more than 30% across architecture, operations and project services, introducing cost benefit analysis to align and measure initiatives against business success drivers;• Expanded NEC’s cloud platform to a major revenue generator within the business, playing a key role in driving innovation, creating a sense of ownership and empowering high performance;• Designed NEC’s Public Cloud Managed Services solution in partnership with Microsoft

Joining NEC (Formally CSG IT Services) at a key growth stage, a key leader in the IT division, I developed the solution-set to drive market penetration across Australia. In addition to defining IT strategies to engage large commercial and government clients, I proactively participated in business development activities including presentations and Q&A sessions as NEC’s Lead Architect and Technology Strategist. Throughout, I liaised regularly with sales leaders, executive team members, and provided leadership to 35 direct reports and 150 indirect across NEC, overseeing projects from initial tender and proposal to delivery. • Designed and lead the Architecture program for the NEC’s Managed Services operational design which resulted in 7 of 7 contract bids to build a $100M business, offering innovative and flexible consumption based models specifically for SA government contracts;• Led a successful 15-month, major Infrastructure and Application Platform remediation program to fast track a $40M software platform into operational ready state. The system, comprising of highly complex deployments using HP, Sun Solaris SPARC and an Oracle application stack. The program required full architectural review, problem analysis and remediation strategy to meet the design target of supporting than 70,000 active concurrent users. • Design NEC’s Private Cloud Infrastructure platform and operating model. Also constructed the conceptual models for consumption based as a service model for managed services• Exceeded target to deliver a 21.7% profit margin to all new business, leading the solution architecture to secure a portfolio of bids with the SA Government and ATO (under Lockheed Martin - EUC contract);• Secured the organisation’s first cloud computing project to provide a diversified revenue stream, partnering with HP to design and implement a best-fit solution for a variety of government and commercial customers.

Leading a team of 40 across pre-sales architecture, I managed multimillion-dollar projects from proposal to execution, shaping common platforms and technology strategies that leveraged commonality to drive profit.
