From October 2019 to June 2020 I worked with three student teammates and two Amazon employees to develop a video call quality analysis pipeline which could serve as a proof-of-concept tool for Amazon's Video Care team. We accomplished this using AWS services such as Kinesis, S3, Lambda, Elasticsearch to process and evaluate real-time WebRTC statistics generated by our custom video call web application. Over the course of this project we followed an agile development process: regularly meeting with our sponsors to discuss requirements, writing user stories, managing a product backlog, working in sprints, and demonstrating progress in technical and non-technical presentations. Building on my work the previous summer with PurpleAir monitors, during the first few months of this intern session I delivered new plotting functions, supported alternative data sources, and completed a script to generate timelapse air quality videos for communities. I was able to expand imaging coverage across the continental U.S. by supporting multiple satellites, and delivered another video generation script for aerosol measurements which I presented to our commissioners at the U.S. Forest Service.
