I was previously working alongside a local clothing company called U&ME, who is partnered with Manna Worldwide. They are a global non-profit organization engaged in child development programs both around the world and in the U.S. In doing so, they are able to provide nutrition, care for orphans, medical clinics, education, clean water projects and helping children meet their needs. Additionally, this partnership also includes Ignite, which is a group that works on connecting youth with missionaries (80 in total) to help multiple countries.U&ME uses it's profits to donate shirts/clothing and funds down to the missions group wherever they may be in that current quarterly trip. This allows them to give back globally. However, they also are able to help locally whenever a quarter has completed by volunteering at food drives, helping with donations and community building events. I've been lucky enough to work closely with this local company and so far they have been able to send out 500 shirts to people in need during missions trips.

I was responsible for assisting with group exercise classes, encouraging and correcting high school athletes with their workout regimens/lifting form and was taught proper programming and alternatives based on the clientele.Strength conditioning and coaching was a major focus for the high school athletes, dependent on their sports positions.

I assisted Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants and Athletic Trainers during my internship. I was able to help with therapy modalities, which included ultrasound, electrical stimulation, icing and GamePlay. During prescribed exercise regimens I assisted the trainers in helping/correcting clients' form, in order to ensure a healthy and successful recovery process.
