I am from Lexington, SC. I am a communication scholar, writer, and learner. I want to further explore the intersection between sports and communication. One of my most common memories growing up was going to my grandparents' house on Saturdays to watch college football all day long, that drove my passion for not only football, but sports as a whole. Since then, I have known that I wanted a job in sports. I am a current member of the Martin Scholars program at the College of Charleston which is a communication program that I was selected for and serves to enrich students and help them prepare and create connections to enter the communication workforce. I am currently a sales associate at Rack Room Shoes in Lexington, SC. In working at the shoe store, I have learned the importance and value of working in a team setting. I enjoy interacting with customers and making them smile by creating a welcoming environment which results in an enjoyable shopping experience for customers. I share knowledge about the different shoes, accessories, and other products with customers and help promote our different deals in the store. Through this experience I have learned that I thrive in a high pressure and fast paced work environment.I have had lots of volunteering experience one in particular that meant so much to me was my volunteer position at the Mission Lexington Thrift Store in my hometown of Lexington, SC. Not only did I get to help those in need in my community, but I got to know regular customers and build relationships with them and improve my communication skills in doing so. They were all so kind hearted and I am glad that I was able to help make people smile and assist them in whatever they needed. Fun Fact: I am a South Carolina Gamecocks football and women's basketball fan. My favorite WNBA player is A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.
