As Commander of the 788th Ordnance Company (EOD), consisting of 54 Soldiers, my EOD teams provided support to Ft. Campbell, KY and civil authorities over an eight state region, protecting military forces and civilians from CBRNE threats including Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and Weapons of Mass Destruction WMD). I directed a training program to provide EOD forces to Contingency Operations overseas as well as Humanitarian Mine Action missions in support of Theater Security Cooperation Programs (TSCP). I also managed EOD support to the US Secret Service and Department of State for the President and other foreign dignitaries. I was responsible for materiel and real assets in excess of $12m with an annual operating budget of $1m

While functioning as Operations Officer for the 74th Ordnance Company (EOD), I was responsible for the render safe operations and disposal of unexploded military munitions, improvised and commercial explosives, weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear munitions. Relying on time and resource management skills, I directed the training, equipment, and operational capability of responding to meet wartime EOD missions across the full spectrum of military operations and to meet Homeland Defense missions in support of civil authorities. I provided support to federal, state, local law enforcement, emergency response agencies and allied nations throughout the Pacific Theater. Coordinated and synchronized support to the U.S. Secret Service and Department of State protecting the President, Vice President, and other designated dignitaries. I was responsible for the health, welfare, morale, and safety of 52 assigned Soldiers and their families.

• I managed three geographically separated Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams which conducted 140 EOD missions ranging from downed unmanned aerial vehicle recovery to clearance of explosive devices in hostage town; 120 explosive devices removed from the area allowing safe movement of over 35K coalition personnel throughout Afghanistan. I synchronized the CIED efforts by integrating multiple agencies into a coordinated approach to increase effective targeting of IED networks and materials which advanced the counter-IED efforts enabling the safety of 35K deployed personnel; presented with the Army Commendation Medal
