About Taylor Hansen
I'm a software engineer studying computer science and statistics/data science at CSU East Bay ('23) with the goal of entering the AI/ML field. In my early years with my high school's robotics team, I learned to value code quality and stability above all else. Some of the projects I've worked on in my free time since then include compilers, games, and machine learning. Constructed an asynchronous system to identify, notify, and deactivate inactive users.Eligible users are notified via email and after a set grace period their account will be disabled and their data will be marked for cleanup.Entire pipeline is written using Go to create a robust framework that gracefully handles user edge cases.Estimated to save $5M/yr by clearing 200PB of inactive user data.

Created a new set of tooling for unquarantining old tests by starting a dynamic set of builds to determine if the test is healthy enough to be unquarantined, then parses the quarantine metadata to do the unquarantine and push a commit, using React, Go, and SQL.Integrates with Jira tracking and internal health metrics, as well as Slack and email in order to notify teams of unquarantine actions requested by developers as well as their results.Overall, it saves developer time, improves confidence in testing and unquarantining, and adds value to the test suite by fostering the improvement of test suite health.
