• Led an MLK Day children's book drive in multiple neighborhoods, gathering approximately 500 books todonate at Book Harvest.• Currently hosting a period product drive at GLHS.• Collaborating with the Parks and Recreation of Harris Park to host a green way cleanup.• Partnered with the organization Spaghetti Sisters, and assisted them in their drive for female and infantproducts. Organize and lead routine recycling pickup and environmental clean-up events for 50+ students.• Implemented new strategies to reduce food waste and carbon emissions, including putting out a coolerduring lunch period in which students can place their unwanted food items for others who would likethe food.• Regularly present at meetings, educating others about the importance of recycling and theenvironment.• Set up and attend meetings amongst GLHS staff to coordinate environmental club projects.• Create infographics, posters, and videos for the school to raise awareness about environmental justice.• Worked with Environmental Board of GLHS to apply for a grant that would supply the school with solarpanels.• Secured approximately a $40,000 grant for solar panels for GLHS.• Raised $13,000 to match the solar panel grant.• Coordinated with the Environmental Board of GLHS along with representatives from Food Ark to build acompost pile and garden for the school.
