About Taylor Hunt

I am a leader in fisheries management, policy and science. With over 15 years of senior experience (including executive and international experience), I have established skills that allow me to be successful and deliver great outcomes. I am energetic, engaging and personable and bring a strong relationship building approach to working with partners. I have highly developed communication, facilitation, presentation, engagement and analytical skills, suited to work in diverse environments with a range of stakeholders, from recreational and commercial fishers, community associations and NGOs, through to government Ministers and international fisheries experts. I pride myself on clear communication, transparency, work ethic and getting projects delivered with excellent results. During my career, I have implemented significant improvements, reforms and outcomes, including securing major investment. For example:• Securing the hosting rights, and helping deliver the 10th World Recreational Fishing Conference in 2023 for Melbourne, Australia with 360 delegates from 20 countries.• Securing $3.7 million of funding by forming a national collaboration of 12 government agencies and community groups to save an endangered fish species from extinction - Macquarie perch.See below for more examples.I still love getting on and in the water at every opportunity.
