 Responsible for process control projects that include configuration, hardware specification, instrumentationspecification, electrical scope writing, industrial networking, loop checking, commissioning, tuning, andstartup support. This was performed as leader of a team, part of a team, or solo projects. Contracted to provide process control support to a 24/7 operating facility. Responsibilities includetroubleshooting issues with equipment and instrumentation with facility E&I, making logic changes for newequipment, troubleshooting and maintaining the process control network and DCS/PLC systems whileproviding troubleshooting procedures and reliability plans to the operations team. Facility had Delta V,Honeywell Experion, G&L, and RSLogix 500/5000 platforms with Powerflex drives. Performed loop check-out, DCS graphic development, interlock checks, startup, and troubleshooting supportfor startup of a PVC dryer system in a Honeywell Experion DCS Responsible for configuration for a new equipment installation based on a control narrative and P&IDs,performing all loop checks, communication between new PLC remote rack and existing DCS, Stratix switchsetup, startup, and commissioning in Honeywell Experion/RSLogix 5000 Responsible for a project that consisted of installing a new Powerflex 755 that included drive setup, addingthe drive to a VIM1, DeltaV configuration and startup support. Project was completed ahead of time andallowed the machine to startup earlier than expected. Contributed to an 1100 IO point conversion that was finished four days ahead of schedule, completing IOassignments, troubleshooting motor wiring, supporting the electrical contractor, and finalizing DCS checkout(Delta V) Lead engineer for a boiler management system upgrade, including networking of new DCS hardware, Modbusto TCP/IP communications and mapping, configuration, new DCS graphics, and startup technical assistance

• Lead a team of up to eight engineers in the design and execution of electric heat tracing projects while serving as a specialist in instrumentation, tubing bundle, and vessel heat loss calculations • Managed a $3.2M project requiring in-depth analysis of P&IDs, line lists, and power plans to develop a safe, cost-effective design solution that minimized wire requirements, breaker spaces, and man-hours • Perform all specialty engineering analyses, including piping heat-up and cool-down analysis for various insulation types and sizes to achieve customer maximum temperature drop requirements• Develop new tools to enhance project tracking capabilities, including conversion of the engineering project list to an Access database that automatically imports project hours, change orders, and due dates from SAP data • Prepared presentations on EHT basics, including manual and design software demos, and trained three new engineers, emphasizing that use of the software tools requires critical thinking and engineering judgement

• Provided engineering support in electric heat tracing projects by reviewing customer P&ID’s, linelists, plot plans, and area classification drawings to locate electric heat tracing for process optimization • Supported projects through incorporation of cost-saving design optimizations, including relocation of power boxes/temp sensors to reduce the man hours/material cost, leading to a 10% overall savings for a project• Prepared proposals and estimations, gaining over $800,000 of new jobs while assisting the P&E team with specialty designs and recommendation to deliver more competitive bid prices
