As a Human Resource Management Trainee, I work in the Workforce Planning and Strategic Solution Department within the Office of Human Capital Management. I assist in conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify workforce behavior (attrition/retirement), and evaluate headcount and skills changes (gaps/surpluses). By doing this, I transform complex data into a consumable format for various levels of management. I work directly with the Recruitment Manager and Pathways Program Manager by completing tasks such as quarterly data calls, job postings, and student inquiry responses. I also participate in conducting exit interviews with employees retiring/leaving the Center. During the summer of 2015, I completed a three month rotation in the Staffing and Classification Department within the Office of Human Capital Management. While completing the rotation, I took a certified online graduate course that specifically enhanced my knowledge about the Federal Government staffing process.
