Reflecting on my journey as a machinist, it’s hard to believe that it all began 15 years ago when I started working alongside my dad. Growing up, I always admired his craftsmanship and dedication to his work. When the opportunity arose to join him in the shop, I jumped at the chance. Those early years were filled with invaluable lessons; he taught me not just the technical skills of machining, but also the importance of precision, patience, and problem-solving.Tragically, my father passed away seven years ago. It was a devastating loss that deeply affected me, both personally and professionally. However, I found solace in continuing the work we had started together. I honored his memory by dedicating myself to the craft we both loved. During this time, I transitioned to working at Animax, a decision that opened new doors for me.At Animax, I delved into CNC programming, an area that fascinated me and expanded my skill set significantly. Learning to program CNC machines was a game-changer in my career. I enjoyed the challenge of creating complex designs and the satisfaction of seeing them come to life through the machines. The experience also taught me to embrace technology and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of manufacturing.Today, I look back at my journey with gratitude. The lessons I learned from my dad continue to guide me, and my experience at Animax has propelled my career forward. Being a machinist is not just a job for me; it’s a way to keep my father's legacy alive while also pushing the boundaries of what I can create in this field.
