Reviewed briefing, researched applicable law, and drafted legal orders, opinions, and memoranda for a wide variety of federal cases. Assisted in preparation for hearings and trials.

Wrote legal motions and memoranda in white collar, products liability, and commercial litigation cases. Assisted in conducting discovery. Acted as special prosecutor and third chair at trial for solicitation of murder charges where jury returned guilty verdict. Worked on products liability trial team that achieved favorable settlement. Represented clients at over thirty appearances in state and federal court. Observed numerous depositions and client interviews.

Worked 12-15 hours / week as a legal intern for the special education clinic. Took helpline calls from parents and guardians regarding special education issues and consult with my supervising attorney to spot legal issues and provide advice. Reviewed school records to isolate potential issues and improve individualized education plans. Drafted motions, releases, and other legal documents.

Investigated a potentially wrongful conviction shaken baby syndrome conviction along with co-fellow. Reviewed legal, medical, and personal documents for Tonia Miller case. Conducted in-depth interviews with Tonia, her family and friends, and law enforcement personnel. Investigation culminated in a podcast, which I narrated. Conducted phone interviews with applicants to Teach For America and provided rubric-based feedback on whether they should advance to the final stage of the admissions process.

Taught 11th grade English, American literature, and persuasive writing to approximately 200 students.Prepared students for ACT College Entrance Exam, Tennessee Comprehensive Writing Assessment, and English III End-of-Course Test.

Taught French I, French I Honors, and French II to approximately 110 students.Led 93% of French I students to meet district goals, 85% to exceed district goals on national ACTFL testing.

Conducted one-on-one interviews with nearly 200 high school seniors for spots in William & Mary's Class of 2016. Led information sessions and campus tours for hundreds of visitors to the College. Helped with edits for new admissions marketing materials.

Traveled to Senegal through the non-profit Intercultural Dimensions to research and write about whether 2010 volunteers' mindsets aligned with JFK's original goals for the organization.
