Read through federal human trafficking cases collected in a database which held news articles and court documents, which I would download from there, upload into a shared Google Drive, read through (usually in excess of 100 pages per case), highlight relevant information, and input the distilled data into a shared spreadsheet.Read through the database itself and attached documents such as news articles, dockets, and indictments, and looked for relevant information such as names and number of defendants, names and number of victims, date(s) of trafficking, whether hotels or other businesses were used and what the names were, locations and means of transportation, means of marketing such as websites (Backpage, for example), method and beneficiary of payment, whether violence or intoxicants were involved, and relationships between the defendant(s) and victim(s).Extracted list of hotels and other businesses which intersected with human trafficking.
