My primary responsibility is to develop new programs within the framework of Sustainable Waterloo Region’s Strategic Plan: Our Compass. Working with functional area leads, volunteer teams, and our Executive Director, I oversee the process of program implementation: researching potential programs, engaging with external stakeholders to solicit program demand, writing Business Plans, securing internal support from the SWR Team and Board of Directors, and engaging with grant providers to acquire program funding.

ClimateActionWR is a collaboration between local organizations focused on supporting actions and developing new opportunities that will lead to local GHG emissions reductions. Together with community members and organizations, these partners aim to achieve a community-wide greenhouse gas reduction target of 6% by 2020 and a higher quality of life throughout the region.This Committee consists of 17 community leaders from across Waterloo Region who will work alongside ClimateActionWR partner organizations, staff, and volunteers to drive the ideas and goals of the Climate Action Plan forward. The Leadership Committee will play a critical role in advancing plan implementation by providing input, expertise and support for partnership development.
