A club dedicated to teaching American Sign Language and educating University of Guelph students about the Deaf community.

An organization with over 65 volunteers for students to walk across campus while accompanied by a pair of volunteers. Each volunteer is trained with AODA safety, and take part in work shifts ranging from 7:30pm to 2:30am for anyone on campus. As Senior Volunteer of Operations, I meet with our other two SVC members as well as our Program Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator once a month to discuss how the organization is functioning. I deal with logistics involving protocols, walking routes and safety, and took part in initiating an electronic cart for the program to accommodate those with a physical disability, as well as transport students more efficiently. SafeWalk is currently on hold with the school's closure due to COVID-19.

Focused on host-pathogen interactions and capsule production within Klebsiella pneumoniae. One current publication (see below).

Assisted with lab maintenance and duties to provide support for Master's and PhD students.

Prescription intake and data entry of patient and medication information into HealthWatch program. Worked alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to develop proper technique and responsibilities for filling and dispensing medications. Distributed prescriptions for pick-up with verification of medical insurance along with cashier responsibilities. WHMIS certification complete

Primarily trained in technology and design of apparel, footwear and equipment. Worked one on one with customers for select the best product for their needs. Restocked shelves and racks daily. Supervised fitting rooms and worked cash register. Occasionally worked in back warehouse for shipping and receiving inventory.

Oakville, Ontario

Greeted parents and dancers upon entry. Started off as a young volunteer in the Instructor Development Program. Starting in ~2016, primarily assisted head director of studio with classes ages 4-13 instructing warm-up, technique exercises, barre work and choreography. Occasionally assisted in running birthday parties and administrative work (e.g., steaming/organizing costumes, answering parent questions about registration and competition).Maintained a summer dance camp leader position for 8 sessions with responsibilities including dancer supervisory, choreography, games, and building a positive mentor relationship with the dancers. Worked separately with junior volunteers ages 11-14 and taught foundational skills including performance and competition expectations, basic emergency safety, building a resume, and academic advice for entering high school.Styles include ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical.

Read new scientific literature based on research paper topic. Wrote about the steroidal and non-steroidal treatments of Dyshidrotic eczema and the correlation between the gut microbiome and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.Two literature reviews submitted for publication to The Journal of Student Science and Technology

Helped cash out customers, take phone and in person orders, prep ingredients, make pizzas, and work the oven to package and prepare pizzas for delivery.
