CurrentIn this role, I oversee and manage various aspects of the Aquatic program and facilities, which includes developing, marketing, executing, and assessing a comprehensive Aquatic program and managing the day-to-day activities, events, and informal recreation programs in the Aquatic Center. I also maintain the operation of the Aquatic Center, including handling water chemistry, maintenance, and problem diagnostics, as well as addressing mechanical issues.Additionally, I am responsible for designing and maintaining cleaning and maintenance schedules for the pool, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and facilitating member satisfaction and retention initiatives. Supervision of student staff is a crucial component, involving tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, conducting evaluations, overseeing payroll, and contributing to departmental and divisional student-centered initiatives.My financial responsibilities include:Submitting an annual budget.Meeting budget targets.Coordinating financial transactions.My role also involves developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating departmental policies and procedures related to customer service, conducting regular patron surveys, and providing updates on measures of success.I assist with departmental efforts in student staff and participation development, participate in departmental committees, and represent UTSA and Campus Recreation in the campus community and professional associations through committee participation and involvement in various university functions.
