Listening and guidance, case work and informal advocacy for family and friends supporting a loved one with a mental health condition. Social event planning and hosting, regular newsletter communications and psycho-educational training.

Taught a regular community of students in Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames and Shepperton. Taught as a cover teacher in gyms and studios across the West and South West London area. I two retreats in Northern Spain, with Spanish Steps (Asturias) in 2015. I stopped teaching in January 2018, though I may pick it up again in future!

Projects have included logo design for small businesses, advertising design for various entrepreneurs and packaging for a luxury tea brand. Clients have included Lulin Teas, YogaLondon, Deva Yoga and Honcho PR. I'm not actively seeking work at the moment but often help out with community projects. Always happy to hear from people who need a designer.

Working alongside social services staff at Hillingdon Council, developing the single plan pathway for children and young people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

Designed and gave training to staff following a training needs analysis, such as direct payments and safeguarding. Developed and implemented a method of controlling development to the system.I was also part of the tri-borough ICT project team that both developed, and trained staff in the use of Frameworki (social services IT application) for Westminster, RBKC and LBHF.

Took a lead role in a range of projects linking the Housing Options division with the corporate objectives of the council. Most significantly I developed and implemented a tailored approach to managing health & safety throughout the council's cross-sector portfolio of temporary accommodation, working with key stakeholders to improve the standard of accommodation available. Other projects and assignments included communications across the division for mobile working programme, health & safety initiatives, intranet content and internal newsletters; analysis of homelessness demographics and housing outcomes;

Seconded to assist delivery of the Enhanced Housing Options project, a central government ‘trailblazer’ initiative which gave successful local authorities £350k over three years to develop local solutions to reduce homelessness. LBHF was one of the 12 leading authorities to be awarded top level funding.Responsibilities included project management of an innovative life coaching programme, delivered to 33 residents in temporary accommodation. Helped to plan project and worked with external stakeholders to design the programme. Designed information management and evaluation tools, training for staff, supervised & mentored staff across a number of locations, chaired monthly project board, monitored project budget of £100k and implemented project deliverables on time and under budget. Project achieved numerous benefits for clients, including employment, healthier lifestyle adoption and education and training uptake. Events and training organisation and co-ordination (and in some cases delivery) and divisional web and other written and visual communications was also a key part of my role.

Key member of an innovative, integrated front of house social care team providing an efficient gateway service to members of the public for housing options and adults social services.Processed a high turnover of customer enquiries, which required the ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner to members of the public;Undertook statutory assessments for housing and care services and gave advice and assistance to members of the public and other professionals, face to face and over the telephone;Worked collaboratively with internal and external teams to effect relevant and swift solutions to enquiries.

Provided legal advice and advocacy via telephone and email on a wide range of housing and housing related matters;Effected positive solutions for clients, from repayment plans in rent and mortgage arrears cases to supporting successful reviews of homelessness applications.
