Independent consultant guiding individual stakeholders and cross-sector partnerships promoting human rights, socioeconomic development, and mitigation of environmental impacts in natural resources development.• Provided facilitative leadership to multiple cross-sector partnerships and advised individual stakeholders on human rights and equitable development in the global energy transition, including community development, stakeholder engagement, supply chain due diligence, Indigenous rights, corporate philanthropy, and more.• Designed and conducted horizon scanning and trends/opportunities analyses, gap assessments, and policy development related to social performance and community engagement on behalf of foundations, civil society organizations, and global majors. • Co-designed training curriculum on stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution for mining companies; delivered training to hundreds of employees at sites on four continents.• Led several multi-stakeholder coalitions; designed overall strategy, managed implementation and grantmaking, and shepherded staff teams and volunteer working groups. For example, chaired the Public-Private Alliance for Responsible Minerals Trade (PPA), a partnership of 40+ government, civil society, and industry organizations promoting ethical and economically sound minerals supply chains and local governance maximizing benefits to communities where minerals are produced. Guided the PPA in leveraging collective influence and convening power to build sectoral alignment; oversaw deployment of nearly $3M in grants aligned with the PPA’s goals. Also led facilitation of the FPIC Solutions Dialogue, a coalition of companies, NGOs, and community networks sharing experiences and articulating guidance to support implementation of free, prior, and informed consent with Indigenous communities whose lands, waters, culture, and rights may be impacted by industrial development. Lead author of guide synthesizing Dialogue insights.

• Steered key elements of organizational strategic planning in multiple cycles, including SWOT assessments, organizational and programmatic goal setting, progress assessments, and annual budgeting.• Drove internal consensus-building processes, including collective reflection on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within the organization; plans to operationalize shared values; and articulation of key principles to respect and uphold rights, support learning, and avoid unintended harm.• Designed and facilitated multiple staff retreats to distill insights, build rapport and morale, and articulate and progress strategic organizational and program goals.• Facilitated strategic planning and technical execution for numerous strategic outreach events, receptions, and annual conventions to rally the organization’s impact and amplify its impact. • Shepherded program-level planning by directors, including developing guidance and processes for organizational processes to jumpstart new programs, developing templates for program impact plans and budgets, and advising on cross-program alignment.
