My fitness journey began with my swimming career throughout adolescence and my time in college, so returning to this world outside of academic athletics feels like a return home. In my role with Equinox, I am proud to teach a variety of HIIT, Athletic Conditioning, and Strength Training classes. Additionally, I use my AFAA Group Fitness Certification, as well as 11 years of swimming experience to inform my programming choices in my role as a Swim Coach within the company as well. As Hall Director, I was responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of a staff of undergraduate RA's, who shared a community of 250 students. It was my duty to implement training and orientation workshops alongside college administrators for first-years, student leaders and staff. I also oversaw facilities management, first-response during emergency situations, and housing logistics for the building.

As an AHD, I hired and trained a staff of student leaders from among an elite pool of applicants. Throughout the year I facilitated and supervised their positions through staff trainings, staff development initiatives and programming opportunities. I also gained daily experience functioning in an office on a college campus, and was trained as a facilitator in various workshops in QPR training, Bystander Awareness, and various Title IX workshops.

As a Resident Assistant I was in charge of transitioning first-year college students into the Rollins Community through a use of my interpersonal skills to build connections, by hosting 3-4 programs a month, being knowledgable about other campus departments and making appropriate recommendations to those departments. The Resident Assistant is the first tier of connection for students to other resources on campus, all within the comfort of their Residence Hall.

As a coach for WFLA, I trained three separate teams of 7-11 year old children, teaching them basic water safety, and the rudimentary knowledge of the four strokes and the drills associated with them. I was in charge of creating daily practice regiments, and long-term learning objectives. I was also in charge of managing and officiating our four swim meets every summer.
