I’m a problem-solver that loves working with other people to understand and apply mathematics to improve our autonomous vehicle industry. Mathematics is my passion— I’ve enjoyed studying numerous fields, all of which have come in useful in the engineering sector. I want to help the world enjoy a higher quality of life through these advancements.Right now I’m working on RTK GPS in the Multiple Agent Intelligent Control and Coordination (magicc.byu.edu) Lab. The unique environment synthesizes advanced mathematical theory, sophisticated computer programming, and hands-on experimentation in order to push the boundaries of autonomous drone flight. My project is to design, program and configure a drone to autonomously land on a moving truck platform.I love diversity and foreign cultures. I grew up and attended school in Japan for four years. I acquired Spanish in high school. I lived in Thailand for an additional two years (2017-2019) as a volunteer Christian missionary speaking Thai. I’m fluent in Thai and proficient in Spanish. Adapting to new countries and environments is something I enjoy.Violin is another huge part of my life. I grew up playing, but it wasn’t until I lived in Thailand that I recognized how much it could help other people. Music has shown me how to think outside the box and work as a group to accomplish big things.
