I love being able to utilize creativity in marketing. It’s what made me decide this is what I want to pursue for the rest of my life. It’s an ever-changing, and ever-interesting path to follow. My favorite class I took was a Branding class that allowed me to branch out and think creatively about brand design, value, marketing, and individualism. I’ve worked mostly in the food and beverage industry my entire life. I’ve learned a lot about how important the front of house staff is in representing a company. I stumbled upon Deschutes Brewery and found that the core values were something I’d be proud to portray. I’ve found small niches within the company to allow me to fulfill small passions, such as a sustainability team, as well as a pub marketing team. While working for the pub, I also intern for a local jeweler, Jim Dailing Designs. Because I’ve been in school and work full time, I’ve only been delegated the tasks of social media posts. However, I’m constantly given the opportunity to share my input, creative thoughts, and additional work to carry per my own request. It’s been a great learning experience and I plan to continue to learn more over the Summer months especially.
