Taylor steers the Applied AI and Research Internship Programs at Vector Institute, fostering early career growth through tailored mentorship and hands-on experiences in AI. She also spearheads the IMPACT Mentorship Program, connecting students with industry experts to bridge academic learning and real-world AI applications.Taylor is deeply committed to building inclusive pathways for underrepresented communities in AI. She forges impactful partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders to develop programs for Black and Indigenous students, and she believes in creating inclusive and supportive environments, removing barriers, and expanding opportunities for equitable participation in AI. Taylor holds a Master of Information, a BA (Hons) in Communications & Criminology, and a Certificate (Hons) in Digital Communications. Her graduate research explored Alexa's gender performance, it's impact on women and heteronormativity today, and the importance of building gender-agnostic AI systems. She is excited about the future of work, creating ethical AI, and digital labour.
