Minruo Wang is a data-informed, action-oriented person committed to providing equal educational opportunities for Chinese students through designing learning experiences and learning analytics. Minruo is currently a master student in Learning Analytics at Teachers College, Columbia University. Being in this program has given her an amazing opportunity to work with Innovare and help create a learning algorithm that generates recommended actions for school leaders. She is currently interning at an innovative high school in China to help develop a professional development curriculum. Minruo graduated with an applied economics major from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Since college, Minruo has been motivated to explore ways to ameliorate inequality in opportunities for education. During her college years, she worked in the Office of Student Affairs to help operate social research projects and community engagement activities for students. She has also been a volunteer teacher at different projects in China. Out of her concern for gender equality, she co-founded a student organization focused on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) issues.
