Leadership in the delivery of managed healthcare to Tricare beneficiaries by providing case management direction and oversight as well as quality management.

Deputy Medical Director of the Brussels medical service with the added responsibility of managing the hiring and quality management of medical & nurse escorts. I had a part time "freelance" position from 2008 to 2011 and was hired full time in 2011 as deputy to assist the current medical director.During a period of 24 months after being hired full time I was able to implement significant changes in the medical service through leading a team of dedicated medical clearance nurses. We started by hiring escort physicians and nurses to strengthen our in house team. A legal framework was implemented governing the relationship with medical providers. The medical material was also upgraded to better manage the different pathologies that we encounter. A quality management framework was implemented to allow continuous growth. This allowed us to improve not only our procedures during the escort missions but also in our medical clearance work. We focused on improving and streamlining the clearance processes as well improving communication between the different providers.In April 2013, we had executed more than 95% (up from 35% in 2011) of the missions with our internal staff, while increasing overall patient satisfaction. Medical clearance improved with an increase in efficiency through the standardization of procedures and processes.

As Treasurer & Accreditation manager at EURAMI, I helped to increase the number of accredited providers from 9 to more than 30 in 3 years. I also improved EURAMI's financial status to achieve autonomy in 2012. This was achieved through implementing the new EURAMI website and Academy in which I was an active team member.

My role as consultant was to set up a study to investigate the use and the utility of augmented reality to ultrasound examinations. The study involved a randomized control of 20 subjects on a healthy "patient".

Aside from my regular duties as physician I was also responsible for supervising student nurses, physicians and EMT's, mostly in the prehospital setting.
