I oversaw a diverse portfolio of software approximately 20 development teams delivering applications for customers and internal Sales Agents. This value stream yields $1.5BN in value (primarily revenue) across OmniChannel Messaging (SMS, Web chat, etc), Lead Routing, .COM (CMS) presence, digital analytics, autonomous agents and chatbots, and policy servicing tools.I also maintained indirect responsibility across software engineering and agile process as a co-leading evangelizing "engineering excellence" program (reaching 45 directors, 160 managers, 2000 engineers). Established DORA champions and Engineering Manager champions to help build communities of practice within the engineering corps, focused on achieving "Elite" DORA scores and assisting managers to engage technically with agile squads, respectively.I co-sponsored / lead 2020 Digital DE&I work stream, forming the model for grass roots DE&I communities across US based personal lines. We established pillars for "DE&I Dialogs", "Inclusivity within Agile teams", and "Increasing our understanding". The work helped create space for individuals to express themselves / emotions across challenging civil rights / liberties landscape. We bridged the gap between what DE&I meant at an executive level to tools and practices to be leveraged by squads and portfolios to enable diversity of background, ideas, and approaches to create not only a better place to work but also competitive advantages.

Established formal Information Security program aligned with industry best practices and evolving stakeholder expectations. Strategic and tactical partnerships were established with across the business, industry leaders, and solution providers. We established and delivered on a roadmap that included changes to architecture, monitoring, policies, standards, and procedures.

As the founding member of the technology group, I road mapped and implemented a formal and disciplined approach to software engineering and information technology. We have developed and deployed the FRTs first interactive client facing products leveraging AngularJs, NodeJs, Mongo, Oracle, Pentaho ETL tools, Zookeeper (Exhibitor) and Kafka, leveraging a Micro-Services based architecture. Strategically we have built a core team of developers (still hiring) and applied team augmentation with a third party firm (remote/offsite), and coordinated efforts with Scrum based methodology. On the software side I serve as lead architect, hiring manager, mentor, and hands on coder.We embrace a devops culture, automating as much of the build process as possible, leveraging chef server, knife and vsphere automation. As a provider of class action monitoring and filing services, we are responsible for a large amount of sensitive data, which we host ourselves leveraging a combination of RHEL and CentOS servers. We have applied technologies such as Zero Trust Architecture, vulnerability scanning, RSA multifactor authentication (employees and clients), white-hat penetration exercises, and thin client/virtual desktops to identify and assure security.In addition to responsibilities on the software and network/technical operations/it I serve as a key member of the Information Security and Business Continuity teams.

Joined as a technical partner in an unfunded startup, my role spanned: product build out, pursuing partnerships / sales opportunities, and fund raising activities.Dodilio is a marketplace for custom/bespoke primary research targeting both investment professionals and corporate research teams. The marketplace has over 4000 certified and hand selected analyst competing (via a blind bidding process) to fulfill research needs. Consumers of research are able to pay directly or through an anonymous soft dollars through our partners. We rolled this platform out using angularjs/bootstrap front end with a django/python backend.

I founded this team (with assistance from the partners) to identify and deliver insights on an equity trade database with 500,000+ events spanning 10 dimensions. We ported legacy matlab applications to open source R and built a computational finance oriented group to four full time resources. We also centralized and standardized all reporting, by building an OLAP repository in MySQL, templating through Pentaho Report Designer, and automating with Pentaho ETL. The process allowed TIM Group to expand its reporting coverage to all clients and the generation of 3000+ reports at month end. We assisted defining and building the Alpha Miner metrics product helping to quantify the relationships between Sell Side Analysts, published research, Equity Sales Reps, actionable trade ideas, and buy side recipients.While not a major focus, we also helped select hedge funds implement trading strategies with our trade ideas database.

Purchased by TIM Group March 2011. I was asked by leadership to help develop a long term technical strategy for the engineering team, and to support that with the proper technical operations infrastructure. This strategy included building / staffing an office in Boston, complementing the core Toronto group and spanning 17 technologists. We focused development on JBOSS J2EE applications (Java 5), leveraging MS SQL Server, and Ext/JS front ends. We also developed a Silverlight frontend (using F#), leveraged by clients with constrained desktop/browsers.As a member of the senior management team, I partnered with Product Management to vet product opportunities and shape the product roadmaps, and reported the state of the organization at regular board meetings. I was asked by the board to help facilitate of the sale to youDevise (to become TIM group), by presenting technology and strategies.

Develop next generation Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0 applications tailored towards fotune 500 and other financial industry clients using: Java, Jsf, Ajax (A4Jsf), Facelets and related open source frameworks including: hibernate, hibernate annotations, hibernate entity manager and MySql NDB clustered database solution.

Initially hired as an architect I was promoted to Director of Engineering. Team consisted of 9 full time engineers and user interface designers, as well as outsourced vendor relationships that helped deliver a combination of products to the Mutual Fund market.

We architected/developed dynamic site platform for hosting 1000 co-branded web sites for TIAA-CREF, aimed at rolling out 403b plan information to their underlying client base. This interactive tool, included real time automated PDF generation for supported downloaded documents, and a Service Based Architecture.Upon successful rollout of the TIAA platform we focused on web 2.0/Ajax based mutual fund share class analytics tool. The calculator recommended optimum investment classes based on collected mutual fund and investment criteria, and was integrated in financial service platforms hosted by Nasdaq and Ameriprise.A majority of the work was developed in c#, .net, asp.net, xsl, xsl:fo, JavaScript, and windows services
