I oversaw a diverse portfolio of software approximately 20 development teams delivering applications for customers and internal Sales Agents. This value stream yields $1.5BN in value (primarily revenue) across OmniChannel Messaging (SMS, Web chat, etc), Lead Routing, .COM (CMS) presence, digital analytics, autonomous agents and chatbots, and policy servicing tools.I also maintained indirect responsibility across software engineering and agile process as a co-leading evangelizing "engineering excellence" program (reaching 45 directors, 160 managers, 2000 engineers). Established DORA champions and Engineering Manager champions to help build communities of practice within the engineering corps, focused on achieving "Elite" DORA scores and assisting managers to engage technically with agile squads, respectively.I co-sponsored / lead 2020 Digital DE&I work stream, forming the model for grass roots DE&I communities across US based personal lines. We established pillars for "DE&I Dialogs", "Inclusivity within Agile teams", and "Increasing our understanding". The marketplace has over 4000 certified and hand selected analyst competing (via a blind bidding process) to fulfill research needs. Consumers of research are able to pay directly or through an anonymous soft dollars through our partners. We rolled this platform out using angularjs/bootstrap front end with a django/python backend.

Founded the Financial Analysis and Metrics department, centralizing reporting, analysis and algorithm development, building a team that included data warehouse, scripting and computational finance talent.

I founded this team (with assistance from the partners) to identify and deliver insights on an equity trade database with 500,000+ events spanning 10 dimensions. We ported legacy matlab applications to open source R and built a computational finance oriented group to four full time resources. We also centralized and standardized all reporting, by building an OLAP repository in MySQL, templating through Pentaho Report Designer, and automating with Pentaho ETL. The process allowed TIM Group to expand its reporting coverage to all clients and the generation of 3000+ reports at month end. We assisted defining and building the Alpha Miner metrics product helping to quantify the relationships between Sell Side Analysts, published research, Equity Sales Reps, actionable trade ideas, and buy side recipients.While not a major focus, we also helped select hedge funds implement trading strategies with our trade ideas database.

Purchased by TIM Group March 2011. I was asked by leadership to help develop a long term technical strategy for the engineering team, and to support that with the proper technical operations infrastructure. This strategy included building / staffing an office in Boston, complementing the core Toronto group and spanning 17 technologists. We focused development on JBOSS J2EE applications (Java 5), leveraging MS SQL Server, and Ext/JS front ends. We also developed a Silverlight frontend (using F#), leveraged by clients with constrained desktop/browsers.As a member of the senior management team, I partnered with Product Management to vet product opportunities and shape the product roadmaps, and reported the state of the organization at regular board meetings. This interactive tool, included real time automated PDF generation for supported downloaded documents, and a Service Based Architecture.Upon successful rollout of the TIAA platform we focused on web 2.0/Ajax based mutual fund share class analytics tool.
