Build and maintain a test environment that includes 8 lab feeds from both Motorola and Scientific Atlanta. Lab includes equipment from predominant QAM vendors such as Harmonic, TANDBERG, Motorola and Scientific Atlanta. Specify hardware platform, perform load certification using internal test drivers. Perform deployment testing on VOD servers prior to rollout which included feature, failure and load testing. Interface with the VOD server vendors to provide feedback and schedule future testing cycles. Perform system integration with new software releases. Maintain TANDBERG TV Americas build environment, including development user boxes. Perform site reviews and technical plans with customer prior to deployment. Develop technical training courses. Write documentation for installation, software handoffs and procedures for field engineers. Perform “first site” installations for each MSO.

Technical manager of four system administrators. Verify all platforms prior to release to the factory or field services. Project management of new system types and networks from Marketing to Development and through to Deployment in the field, including developing training for installation team and support personnel. Subject Matter Expert on Divicom MPEG encoding and multiplexing system. Member of the New Orleans and Atlanta Swat teams, assisting in the turn-up and testing of each new headend. UNIX System Administrator for video servers and status monitoring equipment. Track system availability and publish monthly reports used as a benchmark for our organization. Implemented firmware and software upgrades for Scientific Atlanta analog headends. Acted as contract administrator for video server equipment vendor. Produced both technical documentation as well as user’s manuals to Operators. Provided end to end platform training to Operators and Managers.
