Profile bio

About Mariia Sukhodolska

My main profile is working with Product requirements and all accompanying tasks, full cicle: discover, create, facilitate, release, maintain—from MRD stage to product closure. This includes market research, MVP releases, beta testing, support for marketing team in release preparation, actual major and minor releases, collaboration with support team.I have been releasing products for almost 17 years, and have experience with both standalone applications and services (mostly B2C) for Win, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android.I know a lot about platform regulations as I had to sign drivers for Win, kernel extensions for Mac, align my products with mobile store policies (AppStore, GPlay etc.).I have worked with products processing a lot of users’ sensitive data, so I know well how to work with GDPR, CCPA and LGPD requirements. In different projects I used different requirement methodologies, so I can do User Stories and Use-Cases by choice. In addition to projects I joined at Idea stage, where I had freedom to work starting with concept toward release, I have a lot of experience in setting up processes in teams who didn’t have a product manager, but already released a product which required further development and maintenance. For these cases I have performed “archeology” research of developed and released features, have created requirements, set up processes of working with requirements. Also I have experience in moving teams from one development process to another, from waterfall to agile, worked in scrum and kanban teams.More about processes: I have worked both in standalone teams and teams with complex connections not only with other development subdivisions, but also with legal, security departments etc. In many cases I was responsible for communications and negotiations in such interactions. At the moment I’m in active parenting stage, and looking for opportunity to return to my field of work.

Listed skills include Software Development, Agile Methodologies, Jira, Testing, and 29 others.

System Analyst / Coordinator

Current

Oct 2024 - Present

Senior System Analyst

Moscow, Moscow City, Russia

I have been collecting requirements from stakeholders and translating them from the language of business needs into developer terms, and then making sure that the final result has met the needs of customers. This included setting up and managing processes within and outside the team, gathering, writing, negotiating and maintaining requirements, reviewing product mockups and test cases.I worked on interpretation of PII laws such as GDPR, CCPA and LGDP for development, because my product handled a lot of sensitive user data.In addition to product activities I was deeply involved in the processes of the mobile development department. In particular I was responsible for tracking and analysing requirements coming from external sources, such as regulations of mobile stores and platforms for publishing, selling, advertising products. I was determining applicability of these requirements on the company’s mobile products and the way they affect them.Products I’ve been working on at this stage of my career:My main product, Kaspersky Safe Kids (https://www.kaspersky.com/safe-kids), I have been working as an analyst on its mobile part since 2014 (almost from the beginning of the project). As a team, we made more than a hundred successful releases (by the time I left the company, this number was approaching two hundred).Other products:Kaspersky Password Manager, Kaspersky Privacy (MVP),Kaspersky Safe Browser for iOS.My tools (not to mention the MS Office suite): Confluence, TFS, JIRA, and Figma.

System Analyst

Moscow, Russian Federation

I came to the mobile team of Kaspersky Safe Kids at its early development stage and created a complete set of system requirements for the whole mobile part of the service. Kaspersky Safe Kids is a multi-platform service protecting children from digital threats, monitoring their online activities and tracking location.Being a systems analyst on the project included, but was not limited to: collection, analysis, maintenance of system requirements during the whole product life cycle; building and maintaining interactions between teams, both internal and external to the product. I was responsible for verifying correctness of mockups, test cases, documentation in accordance to requirements. I took part in formulating business requirements for new functionality of the product, especially in filling in platform specifics and legal limitations. This included working with Security Architects and Legal on PII questions in regards of GDPR, tracking changes in Apple and Google policies and technical updates. My tools for these tasks were (in addition to MS Office package) Sparx Enterprise Architect, TFS, JIRA, and Confluence. Bonus track: I've been a lecturer and a curator for interns in Kaspersky internship program named Safe Board for the analysts stream for two years.
