I have close to 25 years’ experience working with various technologies including Microsoft and Java. I have been involved in many projects, sometimes in tandem, working within a teamed or solo environment, everything from database, middle tier and/or front end web and system development. My roles have included project manager, lead and support developer.My area of expertise is working with the project manager and in some cases the business/client (sales) and writing the business and/or technical specifications of the project. I believe that 40% of the time spent on each project should be writing the business, technical specification and use cases, 20% on actual implementation and another 40% for validating the completed product with the documents through a vigorous period of Quality Assurance. By taking these extra steps of assuring that every aspect of a solution is thought of and written on paper, it alleviates bugs, scope creep and describes in full detail what the business can expect at the completion of the project.I am also very affective with problem solving. I have found that every project, whether it is a web or system based solution, has its own set of challenges to overcome.
