Merck hired Blue Diesel in order to help integrate their MerckVaccines.Com into a content management web site as well as to give it a face lift. I was hired for my expertise with SharePoint 2007 in order to help make that transition possible. The challenge was to make the site HTML Standard and Compliance. A lot of customization was needed because SharePoint, “out of the box”, is generally a table driven web site. In order to achieve this, I took design templates that was created by Blue Diesel’s design team and created SharePoint templates with it. The dynamic, API driven and content management part of SharePoint was achieved by creating custom web parts where I could control the rendering of the HTML in order to keep it compliant. I was successful creating several templates and web parts (including a HTML Standard and Compliant Content Editor Web Part) making a Content Management site for MerckVaccines.Com, but still maintaining HTML Standard Complaince.

Setup and maintainence of DigitalSports.Com

Working as a consultant, I was contracted to be part of the Loss Management team to help and build an SOA/web based solution to consolidate the various data points throughout the different departments in the company. Using Microsoft Biztalk as the data access layer we provided a central solution to access, validate the data and transfer it via ASP.NET web services to a Java J2EE front end.
