Responsible for the management of 400 franchise stores in Brazil, ensuring that all franchisees get the best support in order to run their businesses properly. Grupo Hinode is a brazilian 32-year-old family company, in the Cosmetics business, which has grown its operation to 6 countries.Me and my team are the interface with all the franchisor HQ departments: finance, logistics, customer service, product development, etc. Our job is to provide the franchisees all the guidelines, from the business strategy to the detailed operational procedures.

Reporting to the Global CEO, I was responsible for developing strategic projects that would bring new revenues to the Company. We had two main projects:a) Planning, designing and implementing the business model for a Delivery Process in Viena Restaurants. Me and my team had to prospect existing models & new technologies, develop an specific menu, develop partnership with 3rd-party logistics, develop the app, remodel the restaurants that would be able to pilot the Delivery process and implement it in two pilot stores.b) Evaluate the current Business Model of Brunella Pastry brand. Brunella was a very successful business and a well known upscale Patisserie brand in the 80's. However, since neither the business nor the brand still had the same relevance of the past, the board asked me to evaluate the business in order to propose a shutdown, sale or reinvestment. The accomplishments of this project were:- evaluation of the branch financials, from the factory to the sales, including 5 remaining franchisees;- recruiting and selection of a new chef for updating the recipes;- designing the compensation model for the new chef and negotiation of contract clauses;- development of a new Business Case (financials);- selection of a Branding Agency for deciding what to do with Brunella Brand (keep it or leave it?);- selection of an Architecture firm to co-create a new store model respecting the new Brand guidelines;- prospecting and negotiation with Shopping Centers to decide where the relaunch of Brunella would be;- implementation of a pilot store in Shopping Ibirapuera

Responsible for the management of 2000 stores sublease contracts in Super and Hypermarkets of GPA Malls, leading a team of 7 professionals with focus on: ensuring that tenants comply with contractual obligations and operating procedures; following percentage of vacancy and delinquency; improving the quality of tenant mix.

=> Created the Business Development Cell for GPA, focusing on development of business plans for untapped markets by the Group. We evaluated several retail and service sectors: Food Service, Homeware, Sporting Goods, Office Supplies, Pharmacies, Convenience Stores, Cell Phones, Direct Sales, Jewelry, Market Place, among others.=> Led over 50 studies of opportunities, generating about 20 Business Plans with horizons of medium and long term, most in conjunction with international retailers who were interested in entering Brazil. The study of these opportunities was based on growth and market return, analysis of potential synergies with the group, demographic and consumer behavior, and macroeconomic trends. Most of the studies included M&A valuations.=> Led confidentiality agreements discussions with advisors, banks, lawyers and consultants. => Led discussions of two major Joint Venture international contracts with companies in three different countries of Europe and US

=> Built and led the GPA Process area, managing a team of 4 managers and 8 analysts in projects of strategic nature, which comprised a total benefit of US $ 20 MM- Shared Services Center Creation.- Procurement Area Creation.- Implementation of total quality programs in store. - Zero-based budgeting. - e-Commerce and Real Estate Processes Review => Participated and led projects of organizational restructuring, turnaround, processes and systems implementation. As an outcome, reduction of 10 to 15% in corporate expenses and 15% in shrinkage (loss) of the Group.

Enovar was an internet incubator, where I experienced the startup in Brazil of a wedding gifts website based in Mexico (celebrando.com). I was responsible for the design of the logistics process of delivery, responsible for selling the idea and negotiating with the transportation companies, and also responsible for the customization of the website.
