I was brought in to help a small and young team improve PeriOptimum's "PathFinder" product (now "RealView"), which is a automatic Patient Tracking system using multiple Indoor Location Systems. I rejoined HyperActive after we were able to raise some money. I was Lead Developer and then Architect for "Hyperactive Bob", a kitchen production management system. Bob uses cameras on the roof of a fast food restaurant to know when customers pull on to the lot, and adjusts its prediction of how much food will be needed based on this real time.

I worked in Symbol's Pittsburgh Office on the User Interface for their network management tools - AirBeam Manager and SEMM. The UI was built using Python and the wxWindows toolkit, so that it could be shipped on multiple platforms (Window, HPUX, SunOS, and Linux).

I joined HyperActive in the prefunding days, working in a co-founder's basement. HyperActive was founded to help the fast food industry with their quality and speed of service issues using technologies from the field of robotics. During this period we built a personalized self ordering kiosk using C++ and MFC. We also built a prototype kitchen management.

TPresence was a CMU startup that tried to bring interactive Virtual Reality to the PC Desktop. We developed a peer-to-peer communications tool with instant messaging, voice over IP and document sharing in a virtual reality world called Holodesk. Holodesk was built with the Microsoft technologies of the day - C++, MFC and COM.
