At Lynk Remote Technologies we built an IoT automation platform designed to meet the special needs of vertical markets picking up where traditional automation systems stop. The platform consists of easy-to-install hardware, cloud infrastructure and customized mobile apps. We go beyond WiFi and Bluetooth and support more specialized communication methods such as CAN bus, BACnet, Modbus, LoRa, NMEA 2000, and other low power/long range wireless protocols to connect to just about anything your vertical market needs. Initially created for general aviation, the platform is now available to other verticals, including automotive, construction, marine, agriculture, and other industrial applications.

Oversee the company's technology strategy and development. Created Loki Tech’s first-generation software and hardware MVP, including a cellular connected IoT device with sensors and display, mobile app, Azure cloud infrastructure and a powerful API. Assembled electronics design, manufacturing, and software development team to execute commercialization plan.

In this role I was Product Manager for Snapdragon mobile platforms, modems, and chipsets used in 4G LTE mobile computing, Android tablets, Windows notebooks, convertibles, and 2-in-1 devices. My responsibilities included driving platform roadmaps, product definition, contract negotiation, execution, go to market planning, and launches. I also managed OEM launches with Android tablet manufacturers (Samsung, Huawei, LG) accounting for hundreds of millions in annual revenue. During my time in this position I led launch of the Windows on Snapdragon product family with initial OEM partners (Asus, HP, Lenovo) and Microsoft, featuring always-on, always-connected Gigabit connectivity, and secured a deal to launch second generation Windows on Snapdragon with the largest global mobile OEM (Samsung).

I oversaw ongoing development and multiple generations of the LTE Module product portfolio that included Snapdragon/Gobi 4G LTE and 5G modems for notebooks, tablets, and 2-in-1 devices. This included driving both product and business development for the first worldwide capable mobile broadband products (Gobi/Snapdragon LTE Module and product family) from greenfield and R&D through production including final regulatory, industry, and carrier certification. Other responsibilities included managing partner/client product launches (Microsoft Windows, Google Chrome, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Sierra Wireless, Foxconn) and evangelizing future tech (5G, Gigabit LTE, LTE-U, MulteFire) to promote adoption and chipset demand. I have also contributed to several standards body working groups including GSMA, USB-IF, and PCIe to ensure alignment with chipset platforms, market requirements, and carrier requirements. Accomplishments included: • Cultivated a broad Qualcomm-based hardware/software ecosystem. Influenced ISV and major operating system partners to develop optimized solutions for mobile productivity, security, and connectivity. • Collaborated with leading cellular and MVNO operators on rollout of flexible and affordable data connectivity options for mobile computing and IoT/M2M.• Productized existing Qualcomm solutions for use beyond smartphone market to drive incremental revenue and diversify the portfolio without significant new investment.

My time in Business Development included serving as a technical subject matter expert in strategic client/partner discussions for Gobi with leaders from Dell, HP, IBM/Lenovo, Apple, Gateway, Cisco, AMD, Novatel, Sierra, Option, AnyDATA, Flextronics, and mobile carriers. Wins in this role included Acer, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony, Asus, and other M2M customers. Gobi expanded to 300+ product offerings on 101 models with 18 manufacturers and 27 carriers worldwide.I also contributed to PR/marketing plans for Gobi carriers, notebook OEMʼs, licensees, and other technology partners.
