Project objectives- Establish the temporal and spatial evolution of faulting within the Chalk and Palaeocene reservoirs in diapiric hydrocarbon fields in the UK Central Graben- To understand the role of fault and diapir evolution on the reservoir distribution and quality - To understand the role of faults on reservoir compartmentalization and communication - To integrate palaeostress analyses from faults with the present-day stress model of key diapirsKey activities- Seismic interpretation (fault and horizon mapping): 123di, ndi, Petrel- Well-log analysis/ seismic-to-well tie- Analysis of well-log reports and production charts- Integrating fracture analyses and structural data from cores to fault interpretations- Petrel fault modelling and fault displacement modelling- Integrating seismic interpretation with production data such as pressure, FMI, petrophysical, and geomchemical data and production rates. - Presenting work at internal meetings and lunch-and-learn workshops - Integrating results with a number of diapiric hydrocarbon fields
