I'm Tessa Dekkers, and I'm on a mission to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities through digital technology. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Health & Technology at the University of Twente, I dedicate my research to the interdisciplinary field of participatory development and evaluation of digital lifestyle and self-management interventions.My journey involves co-design partnerships with diverse communities, including sexual and gender minorities, those with low socioeconomic status, individuals with limited health literacy, and those with cognitive disabilities. I am a teacher in Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Health Sciences, and Human-Centered Design. From one-on-one tutoring to leading Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), I enjoy bringing engineers face to face with psychological theory (🎥 see video) and vice versa. By bridging these disciplines, we unlock fresh perspectives and cultivate holistic solutions to real-world challenges. 🌟My ultimate goal?
