As the Supervisor and then PrePress Technical Advisor in the PrePress area it was my responsibility to create and maintain an atmosphere in which our Department functioned in a relatively trouble free environment. This included solving personnel issues, as well as, workflow issues, hardware, software and Network related issues: • Accountable for creating, implementing, and updating all Department Standards and Procedures.• Interviewing and testing prospective employees, hiring and then performing extensive PrePress Training. • Inhouse PrePress Training and off-site Client Education. • Creative problem solving and the streamlining of existing workflows. • Tracking and then eliminating film and plate waste, thus allowing Hoechstetter to transition to their current Direct-to-Plate technologies. • Auditing of Hardware systems and Software packages, upgrading systems and maintaining linear production stations.
