The Duty Manager (DM) is responsible for the site in all aspects of the business. Property Management, Human Resources, Financial Accounts, and Operations.This position allows me to contribute to the organisation's growth in many ways, such as using communication skills to build a positive working culture through corrective actions. However, the most enjoyable part for me is when I get to be innovative in solving problems, either individually or as a team.A DM addresses internal and external matters. As Duty Manager, I also represent the company to the customers at our parks. Additionally, I collaborate with department leaders to understand their requirements, negotiate offers, and facilitate the onboarding process. It has been an incredible journey at Harbour Fellowship Church.I had no idea what was required of me for this position but to grow in my faith in Jesus. I now have a better understanding of the purpose of my commitment to this fellowship.I am able to use my skills in multimedia to aid all departments of the church. I was involved and led many video production projects for events like Summer Camp Recap, Volunteer Appreciation, Annual Thanksgiving Recap, and a few more. In addition to that, I saw immense growth in my graphic design skills. This realisation came through the many projects I took on at the church, such as redesigning the brochures, information packages, social media pages, and websites. The internship had given my output production level a purpose of commendable service to God’s community. For that, I am beyond thankful.This is just the beginning. I am looking forward to continuing to learn about the Christian faith. At the same time, I will be looking forward to more opportunities to serve this community as much as they have been pouring into me.
