Manage routing and carrier selection for all five of NDS warehouse/manufacturing plants. • Oversee all outbound shipments, striking a thoughtful balance between freight costs, transit time, and quality of service, thereby ensuring happy customer and positive financial results • Oversee freight payments and reporting process • Manage carrier claims (shortages, damages, etc) • Secure carriers for RMA pick up/returns to our facilities • Coordinate with central functions to optimize lanes/carrier choices based on feedback from customers and internal analysis on carrier reliability/service • Conduct annual RFP with LTL Carriers, as well as our dedicated fleet carriers • Negotiate specific rates for lanes with our 3PLs, FTL, and LTL carriers, which would be beneficial to the companies’ freight budget • Decreased the companies Intermodal Dwell/ Driver detention fines by 80% • Prepare/Ensure accurate bills of lading (weights/classes) • Audit shipments within the companies TMS system (Banyan / Blujay) for accuracy of BOL and ASN for both prepaid and collect customers • Frequently communicate (Daily and Quarterly) with trucking companies (LTL and TL), small package carriers, and intermodal providers to schedule shipments and manage carrier relationships • Manage a shipping/receiving calendar to better coordinate with procurement/distribution • Arrange/ Approve expedited (same day) deliveries when necessary • Track and analyze shipment failures to determine and correct root cause • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer logistics issues
