Raymond James is an enterprise level multi-national company with 300+ branch locations, 5 Datacenters, and a 5 building main complex located in Clearwater Florida. My duties as a Server Engineer are varied. A merger with Morgan Keegan Financial has required engineering of Pre_prod environments for intergration purposes. The merger also exposes me to domain trusts between entities once seperate. Level 2 and 3 Technical support is provided for branchs, datacenters and corporate headquarters by way of support ticket submissions. Various projects to engineer and manage virtual environments using VMware 4.0, 5.1, and Hyper-V. Raymond James Financial is mostly virtualized using HP hardware. Although with the merger brings Dell equipment into the environment. There is a move to UCS blades moving forward and gives hands on experience to Cisco Sytems architecture as well.The work environment is very professional and the team support makes working here most enjoyable.
