In the past I served in the U.S. Air Force mostly in the Anchorage AK area (Elmendorf AFB). After my military service I self studied computer data bases and graphic arts. The Macintosh was new and the oil companies needed a programmer, so I worked for British Petroleum (now ARCO) up on the North Slope of Alaska for a few years. After that my career took me to selling computer hardware and software in Austin TX. I quickly became the top producer in our company, Computize. However, I could see that computer margins were becoming lower and lower and that this career would soon fade away.Re-inventing myself. I moved to Sacramento CA and studied at UC Davis computer programming skills as well as Oracle databases and, as luck would have it the Dot.com crash as well as 9/11 happened right as I was graduating. During school I bought a house and that got me thinking about a career in the mortgage industry. I once again re-invented myself and became a wholesale lender at Pacific American Mortgage. I quickly became the top volume sales rep for them.As luck would have it, the 2008 mortgage crises hit. PAMCO went out of business as well as well as other companies I tried. After that, my wife and I opened a successful auto leasing company. Then we opened an auto repair shop. Unfortunately, lifting heavy parts compounded the Air Force injury to my back and I was forced into retirement. Seeing the potential in real estate in NW Arkansas, we moved our family here. Although we were nervous about the move, it proved to be the best thing for our family. Our kids are now honor students in college and both are serving on ministry teams. We teamed up to try our hands in wholesale real estate (fixing and holding) and the Short Term rental market and have had great success at both.Through our endeavors, we have learned both hard money and commercial lending. I really loved the wholesale lending business (B2B) at PAMCO. I excelled at it because it is very difficult for me to leave business unfinished until the next day. Many days my wife and even our baby son would join us as we visited loan broker's offices. So my wife learned the business as well and became an assistant to me.Today we are pulling from all the experiences that we've had in leasing, commercial loans, hard money, business, sales, etc. and putting them into First Capital Sources. We help you find the funds your business needs. We have many lenders to choose from and can find the best loan for you. We are "Where you Go when the bank says NO!"
