Responsible for the development and deployment of technical skills training programs for manufacturing sector. Programs are delivered to a diverse cross section of manufacturing companies.Coordinate workforce development activities with affiliated MEP organizations in other states.Work with various industry organizations to promote workforce development activities and determine future industry needs.Developed & directed MOST (Machine Operator Skills Training) grant within 6 New England states. This U.S. DOL funded grant ensured that advanced machine shops in this region had access to trained CNC operators. The “Fast Track” training initiative facilitated a unique solution to the skills shortage of operators required by the advanced machine shops.Developed and implement the first successful comprehensive manufacturing technical skillstraining program within Massachusetts including employment skills training, and assistance with job placement for the long term unemployment, and at risk populations.Organized the first mobile vocational outreach program that provided career counseling opportunities for manufacturing careers to over three thousand middle school students.Facilitated a state wide pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship program for the machining trades.Involved in the design, organization, and launch of a successful manufacturing workforce development model, the Manufacturing Advancement Center Workforce Innovation Collaborative – MACWIC, that promotes small, medium, and large companies to work collaboratively to develop and deliver critical workforce technical skills training.Facilitated a first of its kind manufacturing skills credentialing system in Massachusetts that resulted in an articulation agreement with Quinsigamond Community College, as part of the school’s degreed program in Applied Manufacturing Technology.
