Ted has worked in politics for over two decades, winning legislative majorities, advancing the labor movement, and helping to elect progressive leaders across the country at the local, state, and federal levels. Ted Dick is one of the most successful political operatives in Montana, as Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party, he helped re-elect Jon Tester to a second term in the U.S. Senate—despite a 9-point Republican advantage. He also was the last Caucus Director to win legislative majorities in Montana and Georgia. Ted has an extensive background in fundraising and successfully managing operational and campaign budgets. While serving at the Montana Democratic Party, he instituted one of the most successful monthly sustainer programs in the country and was able to expand its large donor base. He also helped direct SEIU 775’s first organizing drive in Montana, which resulted in Montana home care workers getting health insurance for the first time and to win substantial wage increases. Under his leadership, SEIU 775 was able to establish a chapter in Montana and organize over 800 workers.
