The position of Director of Energy Management at The University of Tulsa was eliminated on May 26, 2015 due to campus wide budget cuts.During my eight plus years at TU, the program produced 137 graduates and placed over 95% of it's graduates. The TU EM program established 4 endowed scholarships, with the total endowment exceeding over $300,000 in endowments.I am the Founding Director of the Energy Management (EM)program at TU and created and designed the curriculum. During my tenure, the TU Energy Management program was the only EM program at a private institution and accredited by the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).I was instrumental in the creation of two student exchange programs between TU and Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen Scotland and Singapore Management University (SMU) in Singapore. Both of these student exchanges provided a energy related internship,in their respective city, in which the students received course credit to their major. The success of the undergraduate Energy Management program was the catalyst in the creation of the online Masters of Energy Business (MEB) program and the subsequent establishment of the School of Energy within TU's Collins College of Business.It was a great honor and a pleasure to work with the TU EM students, while I was Director, and look forward to following their careers.

When I arrived at OU, there were only 4 students in the then Petroleum Land Management (PLM)program. My contract with OU was a guaranteed salary for 18 months. I would be responsible for rasing all of the funding for the position and to run the program. This was the arrangement, since I was an industry person and not a member of the faculty, the position and program would have to be funded entirely by the energy industry. In my nine years at OU, I was the principal architect in overhauling the PLM curreiculum and changing the name from PLM to Energy Management (EM) . In the new EM curriculum we introduced the mid-stream (commodity trading) concentration and also partnered with the OU College of Law to allow undergraduate EM students to take graduate law school courses. During my time, the enrollment went from 4 students to over 230 students. I place 100% of my graduates and the salaries for EM majors was by far the highest coming out of the Price College of Business. I
