An award-winning poet, playwright, and editor, Ted's work has appeared in literary journals and periodicals, and been performed on NPR and Boston stages, including Symphony Hall. His dual perspective as a poet and editor allows him to bring a unique style to creative writing classes and individual coaching sessions. Ted has taught all forms of writing and verbal communication for decades at colleges, community-based organizations, correctional facilities, and cultural institutions. He is the recipient of numerous awards and professional recognition for his teaching. Ted has been a board member and advisor for more than a dozen cultural, educational, and social service organizations in Boston, including The Mayor's Office for the Arts and Humanities and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Ted has helped many creative writers strengthen their poetry and fiction manuscripts. His expertise includes editing literary journals and anthologies. Ted is a former Poet-In-Residence at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and former Director of the W.E.B. DuBois Youth Poetry Ensemble. He is working on his fourth collection of poetry.
