Senior Industry Contract Coordinator
CurrentSummary:- Assist faculty members and other University research staff in the preparation and submission of research proposals to industry sponsoring companies and organizations- Negotiate various agreements with industry sponsors including nondisclosure agreements, material transfer agreements and sponsored research contractsResponsibilities:- Review documentation of proposals for new awards or modifications- Review proposals and budgets for accuracy and compliance with policies and laws- Research the needs and interests of potential industry sponsors and offer more detailed reference information to faculty and staff members who are initiating industry related proposals- Develop responsive approaches to address project needs- Negotiate terms of various agreements and contracts with industry sponsoring companies on behalf of the University- Outline risks associated with nonconforming clauses and other considerations- Review all documents for export control risk and coordinate with Export Control Officer- Apply university policy, state and federal regulations and laws as they relate to various agreements- Prepare responses to various agreements with modifications and exceptions, providing explanations for university policies, federal and state law- Discuss with faculty and representatives of sponsoring companies, via email, teleconference or on-site, to discuss proposal details and contract terms- Follow up on negotiations of awards and modifications with faculty and sponsors as needed- Develop award agreements or requests for modifications upon request by faculty or sponsors- Review awards for subcontractor flow-downs, discuss objectionable terms with subcontractors- Review awards for financial and compliance risks- Develop award agreements or requests for modifications- Work with faculty, staff and sponsoring companies to provide information concerning university policy, state and federal regulations and laws as they relate to various documents
