Cardenas, Mipueblo Foods and Los Altos Markets were recently purchased by the private equity firm KKR. Cardenas is their headquarters in Ontario, Ca. and now they are a 50+ store chain and growing. • Reduced store’s printing expenditures by replacing all color printers with B&W laser printers.• Improved overall productivity level by replacing stores’ sign ad label software.• Doubled internal server’s storage capacity by upgrading SAN.• Secured servers and improved inventory efficiency by upgrading every store’s POS Hardware and Software from ISS45-V7 to ISS45-V8.• Collaborated with Timeforge to implement their labor scheduling software into various store locations.• Lowered monthly costs for scale maintenance by replacing outdated scales.• Implemented EMV successfully in all 19 store locations.

Supervised and motivated all IT Staff while overseeing and directing the planning and deployment of integrated software and hardware solutions with external partners. Procured vendors for systems and hardware whose purposes aligned with company’s budget and goals. Designed the IT department by hiring and training staff to achieve the upmost productivity. Managed an annual expense budget of over $2.5 million. Key Achievements Include:• Saved the company an annual amount of $250 thousand by replacing wholesaler’s system with a new ordering system.• Assisted financial department pass all bank audits by bringing company’s network up to PCI standards.• Installed Category Analyzer, improving the overall accuracy of all movement reports and simplifying procurement processes.

McCowans Markets was a family owned 3 grocery store chain with 12 million annual sales. I oversaw the entire operation. It, procurement of goods, inventory control, insurance, profit and loss were all areas of my responsibility.
